Ringing in the New Year

I guess 2009 is finally here! We rang in the new year with some good friends at Ferneau Restaurant this year in Little Rock. Seeing as I am pregnant and the designated driver, staying up to 1:30 a.m. wore me out!!!

Dinner was nice and we got to listen to some great music by Richard Johnson. I have included some snap shots from the evening, but they just don't do Marsh justice. He had a little too much fun and, well let's just say, made the evening memorable for the rest of us! Thanks, Marsh!

The next day, Greg and I started off 2009 with some homemade waffles! I made them using the new waffle maker my brother bought me for Christmas! Unfortunately, I only have 1 recipe and it made a bigillion waffles! Oh, well - I never said I was Rachel Ray!

Afterwards, we went to Marsh's house for the Annual gumbo cook! Marsh prides himself in his "roux-making" abilities and each year we are pleased to see he isn't lying. This year, we had a fun little crowd for the New Year's Day festivities. The girls spent most the day in the living room chatting about chic-stuff (Pedigo's words are a little too vulgar for my blog). Meanwhile, the guys watched football and later ended up on the back porch playing guitar and making up their own songs. I've included some pictures of the "sing-a-long," which you'll have to take my word for it-- was hilarous! Thanks for cooking and having us all over Marsh!

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year's Eve! We are looking forward to a very exciting 2009!

Jingle Bells

Christmas has flown by again this year. Its so wonderful to spend time with friends and family and see all of our nieces and nephews. Its hard to believe next Christmas we'll have a little one of our own to spoil.

This Christmas, we were so fortunate to have Caden, Greg's nephew, home from California. Tammy, Brandon and Caden came home in December and will be staying here for a while. Caden is almost four now and is growing so quickly. He gets so excited when his cousins, Morgan and Madison, are around. He quickly turns into a little ball of energy and wears his cousins out.

Christmas at the Veazey's was great, especially since Gracen made an appearance. This is Greg's cousin's, Amanda, little girl. She is so precious and sweet. I follow her on her blog, but the pictures just don't do her justice. She's even more beautiful in person!

The Spence family Christmas was really two-fold this year! On December 20, we had my dad's side of the family at our house for a Christmas dinner. We had about 20 people here, including six wild kids! Greg and I had just bought a Wii, and it was a good thing we did! It kept the kids entertained for hours.

We went to my parents house Christmas Eve and Christmas day. My niece and nephew are getting so big. I really think they will be great cousins to our little one on the way. My brother, Kevin, and sister-in-law, Tonya, got the baby the CUTEST razorback outfit. I'm sure it is one of many to come!

We hope all our friends and family enjoyed the Christmas season as much as we did and have a terrific New Years!
