Being grateful!

The last few weeks have been kind of crazy around here. I'll start with a few weeks ago. I was in Searcy working and was hit by a car!! I was walking in a parking lot and someone backed over me. The crazy part - they just drove off! Thankfully, I was fine - well, I was pretty mad, but not hurt. I also had an MRI done on my head the same day and found out I have a cyst in my sinus cavity. You might initially think this is bad news, but considering we thought it was a tumor or aneurysm, I was pretty pleased with the cyst.

Jake got to see his cousin Jackson a few weeks ago too. Jackson is a little younger than Jake and lives in Louisiana, so they don't get to see each other much. Here are a few cute pics Jackon's mom, Amanda, took during their play date!

We had a great 4th of July at Lake Hamilton. More importantly, Jake slept through the fireworks - yeah!!! He seems to be in love with the boat, but not so keen on the water. We're working on that!

We spent the Monday we were off working around the house. In fact, I got up extra early and did some landscaping work. All was going well, until I cut into a wasp nest and was stung on the stomach. Seems I am pretty allergic to wasp stings seeing as my stomach immediated swelled up and turned red. I spent the next week looking like I was 3 months pregnant. :)

My nephew, Hunter, celebrated his 10th birthday at Autozone Park in Memphis at a Redbirds game. We drove in for the party and had a great time. It was super hot and past Jake's bedtime, but he was a real trooper!

This week, the craziness continued. I was driving home from Searcy on Monday and had a terrible car accident. I won't go into all the details, but I will say - God is GOOD! I could have easily been paralyzed or killed. BUT, I walked away unharmed. Either the impact of the crash or the airbag knocked me unconscious. The first thing I remember was a man saying, "Mam, are you alive? Are you awake? Can you hear me?" I looked over and an older man with long, gray hair in a pony tail was trying to pull my window back. He was able to pull me out of the vehicle. Shortly after, it caught fire. This man sat by my side and held my hand until the EMTs arrived. Then, he told me goodbye and left. I know guardian angels do exist, and I believe I met mine on Monday. God truly saved my life and allowed Jake to have a mommy! I am sooooo grateful to a Lord who saves!
