Welcome Eli Gregory!

Our sweet Eli Gregory Veazey was born Tuesday, February 7 at 8:03 am. He weighted 7 pounds, 15 ounces and was 20 inches long.  He stole our hearts from the second we heard his little cry!

Eli got to meet his big brother and grandparents around noon that day and has been loved on constantly by the entire family ever since!  Jake has, for the most part, been a doting big brother and likes to say – “Hey Eli! Whatcha’ doing boy?”  Its hilarious!  Eli is three weeks old today and is the perfect addition to our little family!

Its been a busy three weeks – as I fully expected.  We’re adjusting to having two little guys around the house and are finding sleep when we can!  Jake continues to amaze us with what he knows and can do.  He is a real charmer! This Sunday, Greg had parking lot duty at church. Basically, he welcomes visitors and members as they walk up to church.  To make my life a little easier, Greg took Jake with him. That way, I only had to get myself and Eli to church.  Jake was a GREAT greeter!

I couldn’t have a better husband. He has been helping me with Eli at night and has been taking care of Jake every night before bed. Bedtime seems to be the one time during the day that proves to be the most difficult with two. I am sure we’ll find a system soon, but for now – I’m one lucky lady to have such a great daddy around.

Here’s a picture of our video monitor. Greg reads to Jake every night before bed and I get to listen in most nights… some pretty funny conversations!  Before Eli was born, I would do the reading each night. I am ready to get a routine in place to allows me to do that again. readingwith dad
