Branson Vacation 2012

Branson might not be the Caribbean, but it suited us just fine! We rented a cabin tucked away in the woods and just 2 miles from Silver Dollar City. It had four bedrooms, so we had lots of space and enjoyed some good family time. My parents and Greg's went with us, so our kids were loved on endlessly all weekend long.
We kicked off the trip with a little outlet mall shopping-- which with two kids in tow is a short trip! The first night there we went to Branson Landing for dinner and ran into Santa! Jake was in awe! He told Santa he wanted "all the toys!" I guess he was covering all his bases. The boys both did great in pics with Santa.
The next day, Eli and I spent the morning gazing at the scenery and napping, while Dad and Jake played a little putt putt golf. After lunch, we headed out to Silver Dollar City for some Christmas fun! It was decorated beautifully and even had a parade!

We spent the following day at SDC again! More rides, more food, more fun!

Jake enjoyed the entire park, but I think he was MOST excited when he got to play carnival games and won prizes. He popped a balloon with a dart on the first try! I don't know who was more surprised- us or him!

Victory Dance!!

And cherishing all his winnings!

We are so blessed and grateful to have parents we enjoy vacationing with! I hope this is an annual tradition!

Let the Holidays begin....

Happy Fall

Fall has finally arrived, and the days of 98 degree weather are behind us for a while (I hope). Our little family of four has been super busy, but has had some very enjoyable memories in the past few weeks.

We had a diaper shower for two ladies in my Life Group (still hard not to say Sunday School). It was great to see everyone and their kids and just enjoy some down time.

This is Jake at the shower looking like such a big boy! :(

The same day, The church hosted a three on three basketball tournament at our new church campus in Jacksonville. Greg came up with the idea months ago and worked like a dog to put it together. It turned out AWESOME and it brought some new youth to the campus for the first time. This is one proud wife!!!

Jake has been doing great at school and is learning to write his letters. He knows the Pledge of Allegiance, loves to tell you about the weather and loves music. He was chosen to get on stage with Brother Bobby to sing a few weeks ago and his darling teacher emailed me a picture.

Eli is almost 9 months old now and is such a ham. He smiles all the time and is a great baby. I am loving that I get to be at home with him so much... Which is the result of an unanswered prayer! God truly does KNOW BEST!

We are also in Halloween mode around here. It's not really a holiday I enjoy, but the kids get a kick out of costumes and we try to make it more about fall and enjoying our friends. Jake has been reading a Halloween book for the past week in preparation! :)
We went to trunk or treat at Faith Baptist a few nights ago and had a great time!

Jake and his sweet little friend Jolee

The holiday season is quickly approaching and my little Eli will have his very first Christmas. Time flies.... For now I will just enjoy the snuggles and sweet moments!

First Family Tailgate

We decided to take both boys to the Razorback/Kentucky game. Of course, I wasn't brave (or stupid) enough to actually take them IN the game! Ha! We took them out to the tailgate for about 2 hours and showed Jake the stadium. He also got to see Tusk- the beloved Razorback.

I took the boys back to The Cissell's house and Greg went to the game. I am so glad I did- it stormed really bad! Plus, Greg had a great time with the guys.

Razorbacks won big time and the Veazey's had their first of many tailgate experiences!

All three boys loaded up and ready to call the Hogs!

Jake "checking the scores!" ha!

Carrie and Jack!

Paula and sweet baby Clara- just a few weeks old and already calling those Hogs!

Photo dump!

I will admit it- I have dropped the ball on the blog front! Things have been busy and I have used my free time to do fun things like ironing, laundry, dishes... The list goes on!

So, for online scrap booking purposes, I am going to do a photo dump of the last month!
