Just an update...

Life has been a whirlwind here at the Veazey house the past couple of weeks. I'll hit the high (and low) points... One of the lows was a couple of weekends ago. Jake had to go to the Children's Hospital Saturday clinic, because he was sickly the night before and had fever. I'm so glad I took him, because he had two ear infections - NO GOOD! But, like the little champ that he is, he stuck it out long enough to go get a long, awaited hair cut after we left the doctor. We tried the cute, little place in Little Rock called Pigtails and Crewcuts. Jake loved the play area and the little airplane he got to sit in while they trimmed him up! BUT - the part he liked best --- Getting to blow bubbles while she worked! If you read our blog reguarly, you know my son is a FOOL about bubbles! We have found out since that Jake is getting tubes put in his ears on April 15. I'm praying this will make a difference! On the way out, we ran into our cousins, Brad, April and their son, Jack. So, we had lunch with them and the boys had a great time. Jake needed a nap, so we headed on home and - to be honest- he just kind of layed around the rest of the weekend. We had to miss Max McNulty's birthday party, and that made Jake and Mom very sad. In other news, I got a promotion at work. I am now a manager with Novartis in the south Arkansas area. I'm really excited about the change, but it is definitely going to be a lot of work. I'm headed to Chicago early this week and New York on Thursday. While that makes my job sound "oh so important," I have to be honest and say the NYC trip is actually a girls vacation! :) I'll be heading to NYC with my girlfriends -Helen, Alyson and Audra. I'm sure there will be a blog post later about that!

Greg went with some guys from church this weekend to the woods. They just did guy stuff- play cards, shoot guns, eat mudbugs. Nothing really excited to report- at least not to me, since I'm the one who writes the blog! :)

My parents came into town this weekend to hang out for a few days, and Jake just LOVED all the extra attention and new toys. He and Nan played with playdough, and he wore Papaw out with all the sliding outside. Jake just loves all his grandparents, and we couldn't be more blessed for it. Below are some pics of him playing in this beautiful weather we're having this weekend.
