2 months already!

Jake is two months old today! Wow! We've been having so much fun with our little guy. He has learned to hold his head up pretty good, can hold on to his rattle (briefly) and loves to be talked to when he first wakes up. He also has the sweetest little smile that steals our hearts.

We traveled to Missouri last week for Jake's first play date with John Parker. JP's mom is my roommate from college. He's four months old and sooooo very cute! John Parker even shared his nursery with Jake! He is a very generous baby. :) I really wish we all lived closer. But, even with the 3+ hour drive, Jake was a great baby!

OK....now they are both bored!

Greg and I have been pretty boring lately....as to be expected! We are going to ASU homecoming in October and are pretty pumped about that! My parents are going to keep Jake in Marion, so wish them luck! Ha!
I also want to post a quick note about my amazing husband... Earlier this year, Greg won Exceptional Achiever at Medtronic! I am so proud. This is a huge honor and well deserved! Greg works very hard and makes an impact in patients' lives every day. He even had a doctor call his manager to brag on his work ethic and his dedication to patients! Jake is so very lucky to have such a talented Daddy!
More to come next week!

Jake's Dedication

This Sunday, Greg and I dedicated Jake to the church and our Lord. We were so thrilled to be part of this event at our church and even more proud that so many of our family members came to see him. We had a big lunch at our house afterwards and all took turns spoiling my little prince. He was such a trooper all day! He just stared at Daddy during the dedication and slept in my arms throughout church. Yes...he is perfect, I know! :)

One of my favorite pictures of Jake from our newborn portrait session. We used this picture at Jake's dedication.

Fall decorations are out at the Veazey house! Happy Harvest!

Jake's cousin, Madison. She is great with him!

Jake's other cousin, Morgan. Morgan's a dancer at her school now-- we're proud!

Growing like a weed!

Our little Jake is really filling out! I have a very scientific way of weighing him... get on the scale without him and then with him! So based on these findings, I predict he weighs a little over 11 pounds!

He has been going to Sunday school and church with Mom and Dad and is better every week! Jake is also picking his little head up while on his tummy and holding it steady (for a little bit) while holding him. He smiles a lot more and is discovering his tongue...very cute!

We are so proud of him and just can't believe how much he changes every day!

Jake and Miss Kate meeting for the first time. This picture was taken at Jennifer and Kate's baby shower. Kate is a week younger than Jake and is just beautiful! And no...that is not a farmer's tan on my arm! Just the flash! Picture courtesy of Staci Carson. Thanks, Staci!!

Just a few pics of my little guy...

No real news to blog about. Jake is doing great and growing EVERY day. It really suprises me how much he changes from week to week. He is now six weeks old...time flies! Here are a few pics of him lately. Hope you had a great Labor Day weekend. Go Hogs!

Hanging out with Dad before the Razorback game!

Funny pic of him hanging out in his chair with his bunny!

I imagine he's thinking...."is this photo shoot over yet?"
